Key-Top Repairs & Replacements

Depending on the repair or replacement needs of your piano keys, they may require full removal and transport to our shop. Once the work is completed, the keys will be returned, reinstalled, and properly inspected as well as any regulating needed. If additional work is needed, we often recommend removing the entire action for a complete service, especially if the repairs are extensive or if there are other underlying issues.
If your keys are sticky, it may require tightening, lubrication, cleaning, and or the removal of an obstruction, which can often be done on-site if time allows.
- Be sure to ask your trained professional piano technician for details during your next service.

String Replacement

Broken strings are common here in South Florida due to many different reasons.
Single String replacement is done in the home.
If the replacement involves a bass string, it will need to be ordered.
Bass string replacement is generally more expensive than replacing the other strings.

Hammer Filing & Replacement

Depending on the condition of the hammers, we may recommend bringing the piano action to our shop for a full assessment. In many cases, we can assess and perform some repairs at your home for a service fee. For more extensive work, we’ll bring the action to our shop for tightening, lubrication, cleaning, and necessary repairs.
Any replacement parts will be discussed with you beforehand.
Once complete, we’ll adjust the action to your preferences and reinstall it, followed by a final assessment to ensure proper function.
Inquire for pricing and questions.

Detail Touch-Ups

Cabinet, leg, lyre, damper, and bench touch-ups can be done in the home.
However, for deeper touch-ups, these can sometimes be performed at our shop.
These improvements add a special touch to your piano and enhance its beauty, often without the need for a full refinishing.
