Restringing

Rust is a significant problem in South Florida. As a result, a complete restringing is necessary approx. every 15–20 years and is highly recommended for the best care of your instrument.
Rusted strings if not changed can snap or break unexpectedly causing damage.
The removal of all pins and strings is required.
The plate can also be re-gilded at the same time, along with refinishing the soundboard. A pin-block replacement may also be necessary.
